Michael Thomas penned “Best Vegan/Vegetarian Options” and “Best Place for a Bowl of Soup.”

Variah Ward penned “Best Place for a Mani/Pedi.”

Working with Editor Nikki Murry, Albright English Instructor Marian Wolbers coordinated and edited articles for this year’s 35 Best of Berks award winners, in addition to penning “Best Lasik Surgery Practice” and “Best Specialty Store or Market.”

This year’s winners include Beer Wall on Penn, owned by alumnus Josue Matos ’19, From the Heart Consignment owned by Katherine Scheese ’85 and lifetime achievement winner, Bella Jules Fashion Boutique — owned by Julianne Cleaver ’01 and recognized by Berks County Living readers 10 or more times.

All Berks County Living award winners are nominated by community members and voted on by thousands of readers. The Best of Berks edition is the publication’s most anticipated edition each year. Author bylines are listed after each Best of Berks category.
