Albright senior Megan Keller has accepted a position in Thomas Jefferson University’s Ph.D. program for biomedical sciences and will begin working toward her doctorate this coming fall, after completing her bachelor’s degree at Albright College.
A graduate of Bel Air High School and a high-achieving college senior studying biology: biotechnology and competing on the field hockey team at Albright, Keller serves as treasurer of the college’s chapter of Alpha Epsilon Delta (the National Health Preprofessional Honor Society) and tutors peer students in science.
After completing an Albright Creative Research Experience (ACRE) project to understand the importance of ectromelia growth factor protein to virus replication last summer, Keller and her mentor Adam Hersperger, Ph.D. associate professor of biology, traveled to Wisconsin for the 41st annual American Society for Virology conference, where Keller led a discussion on poxviruses.
Keller and the Albright College class of 2023 will celebrate Commencement on Saturday, May 13, at 2 p.m., in Santander Arena, Reading, Pa.
