Since joining the faculty in 2014, MeeAe Oh-Ranck has elevated Albright’s fashion courses to better prepare students for the world of fashion design and production — exposing students to insider know-how and leading study abroad trips to Europe and China, where many clothes are made. Closer to home, she invites fashion industry professionals to co-teach and share real-world expertise.
But it was almost not-to-be.
“My parents wanted me to go to medical school,” says Oh-Ranck. “Deep inside, I always had the artistic part.”
