
Dawn Anuszkiewicz, Karen A. Marrongelle, Ph.D. ’95 and Michael D. Scales have been appointed new Albright College Trustees-At-Large, affirmed June 19, 2020. Each will serve three-year terms (2020-2023).
Chief operating officer of Reading Hospital since May of 2019, Dawn Anuszkiewicz is a member of the Greater Reading Chamber Alliance, and was previously chief executive officer at Ochnser Baptist Medical Center in New Orleans, La. – where she led a transformation that returned the hospital to full-service following Hurricane Katrina in 2005. Her more than 20-year healthcare career includes leadership roles at Saint Louis University Hospital, MedStar Health and The George Washington University Hospital.
A professor of mathematics and statistics, Karen A. Marrongelle Ph.D. ’95 was dean of the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences at Portland State University from 2014-2018, where she oversaw 24 departments and programs across the humanities, social sciences and natural sciences. Under her leadership, the college connected student learning to the community and provided student access to high quality research opportunities. During her tenure, the college increased its research funding, while helping raise the profile of student and faculty-led research and innovation at both the undergraduate and graduate levels.
Michael Scales has served as the associate vice president for business services at Temple University since December 2015, and is responsible for management of the Liacouras Center, campus dining, bookstores, trademark and licensing and retail banking. In his previous role as associate vice president for student affairs, Scales was responsible for university housing and residential life, student center operations and campus recreation from 2006-2015. Before Temple, he held positions at Drexel University, North Carolina State University, Georgia Institute of Technology, Ohio State University and Appalachian State University.
