The Lindback Award is given every other year to one full-time faculty member who best exemplifies the criteria for teaching excellence.
Christian S. Hamann, Ph.D., associate professor of chemistry and biochemistry, is recognized this spring as a teacher who imparts enthusiasm and passion in the classroom to students who carry it with them throughout their undergraduate studies.

His consistent work in helping students grow academically and personally clearly stands out. According to the Albright honors and awards committee, students and alumni share only positive comments about this mentor and advisor. His persistent experimentation with classroom and laboratory techniques has reached students of varying learning styles and expanded beyond Albright’s boundaries through numerous pedagogical publications. Hamann’s dedication, leadership and service pushes students to strive for excellence in whatever work they undertake.
