Safety Awareness Month at Albright

From biking safety to active shooter training, Albright College’s Campus Safety team is offering many events this September in recognition of Safety Awareness.
With new and returning college students filling residence halls across the country in late August, September’s Safety Awareness month is perfect timing to help students get to know campus and local emergency services.
The Reading police department’s bomb squad, evidence technician unit and K9 teams will be on campus Thursday, Sept. 5 (10 a.m.-2 p.m.), and the Reading Trauma Center will be on hand Friday, Sept. 6 (9 a.m.-3 p.m.). SAFE Berks, Pennsylvania State Police and the Berks County District Attorney’s Victim Witness Assistance Unit will also visit the college.
Activities will include R.A.D. self-defense classes, A.L.I.C.E. active shooter training and “Drunk Busters Pedal Cart Obstacle Course,” hosted by the Muhlenberg police department, Monday, Sept. 9.
