Alumni Benedetto “Ben” Franco ’06 and Jeffrey T. Rigg, CPA ’79, have been appointed as new Albright College Board of Trustees members, affirmed Feb. 7, 2020. Each will serve three-year terms (2020-2023).
An active alumnus, Ben Franco ’06 brings creativity and business fundamentals to the board. Beginning his career in engineering at Dana Corp., Lucent Technologies and Arrow International, Franco graduated from Lincoln Technical Institute, before earning a degree in business administration from Albright College. Two years later, he founded the award-winning Winedown Bar and Café in West Reading. Since that time, Franco has worked to establish connections between Albright College and Penn Avenue establishments, volunteered at networking events and participated in business leader forums on campus.
Albright accounting alumnus Jeffrey Rigg ’79 is reprising his role as an Albright College trustee following a two-year hiatus (previously serving from 2012-2018). After a 30-year career in the global financial services industry, Rigg retired in 2019 as a highly-respected general auditor and chief risk officer with Cigna. Rigg’s experience includes serving as CFO of Cigna and JP Morgan Chase, and managing director of Price Waterhouse and senior vice president of MBNA.
