Based on analysis of key statistics from the U.S. Department of Education and millions of reviews, Niche.com has recognized Albright College as one of the Top 12 Most Diverse Colleges in Pennsylvania and one of the Top 88 Best Value Colleges in the state, as part of its 2020 Best College rankings. The college search site also nationally-ranked Albright highly for both categories.
An uncommonly strong commitment to diversity
Also nationally ranked as a top performer for social mobility, Albright is proud of its wide cultural and economic diversity. With an ethnic diversity rate of 50 percent, students learn to relate to people from different backgrounds, develop greater self-awareness, and gain a panoramic perspective of the world in order to view problems from multiple perspectives. The experience is valuable to students preparing to enter today’s global workplace, where differences in backgrounds and perspectives are the norm.
Investing in our students’ future
Beginning with the 2019-20 academic year, Albright broke from the traditional higher education tuition model and right-sized its tuition by reducing it 45 percent, from $44,206 to $24,500.
As an institution committed to educating students of academic promise, we believe that the life-changing benefits of an Albright education must be equally available to talented, determined students across the broadest range of socioeconomic backgrounds,” said President Jacquelyn S. Fetrow, Ph.D. ’82.
“Yet, nationally, gaps in college degree attainment and social mobility are growing. Increasingly – and all too often – the economic circumstances of a young person’s family define his or her future. In an era in which family incomes have stagnated and higher education costs have outpaced incomes, Albright is taking important steps to close the gap and make education affordable.”
Founded in 1856, Albright College is a diverse community of learners cultivating integrity, curiosity, connection and resilience.
