Albrightians to perform for Reading Theater Project

Several Albrightians have been announced as cast and crew members for Reading Theater Project’s upcoming production of “Our Town,” showing this fall, Sept. 27-29 and Oct. 4-6.

Reading Theater Project (RTP) is a collective of professional performing artists who create and present new theater inspired by the Greater Reading community.

Released by playwright Thornton Wilder in 1938, “Our Town” focuses on the daily life of two small town families, and celebrates the universality of the human condition. Though the original locale for Wilder’s play was a small hamlet in New Hampshire, RTP intends to express similarities within the Reading community and thematically connect the two settings.

The cast includes alumnus Ezra Ali-Dow ’17 (philosophy/theatre graduate) and John Pankratz, Ph.D., (professor of history). Music instructor Chris Heslop will serve as both music director and composer. In addition, the production team includes Technical Director and Lighting Designer Craig Dodge ’82 (psychobiology graduate), Managing Director and Production Manager Christopher David Roché ’11 (history/theatre graduate) and Production Stage Manager Sean Sassaman ’16 (art administration/theatre graduate).
