Women’s basketball sophomore earns national recognition

Dejah Terrell ’22 is the first Albright College basketball player to be recognized as a National Player of the Week. A sophomore forward from Reading, Pa., Terrell is a graduate of Berks Catholic helping the Lions through the team’s best season start, at 16-1.

Named the U.S. Basketball Writers Association Division III National Player of the Week, Terrell also earned her third MAC Commonwealth women’s basketball Offensive Player of the Week honor for this season, as well as her third spot on the D3hoops.com women’s basketball team of the week roster.

Shooting 56% from the floor and 91% from the free throw line, Terrell averaged 37 points and 16 rebounds over two games last week, scoring a high of 41 points during the team’s only loss this season.
