Albright earns top-tier undergraduate education recognition

Colleges of Distinction honors approach to training classroom-ready educators

Albright College has earned top-tier honors by Colleges of Distinction for its undergraduate program in education, recognizing ‘stellar curriculum and outcomes.’ Albright’s title as an Education College of Distinction is a testament to the quality of its hands-on approach to learning, leading and succeeding.

“An impressive undergraduate education is marked by its stability, practical experiences, advising and mentoring, high-impact practices, and successful student outcomes,” said Tyson Schritter, chief operating officer for Colleges of Distinction. “It’s inspiring to see the next generation of teachers graduating from with confidence.”

Colleges of Distinction notes that recognized programs are ethical and accredited, offer multiple career path options within the discipline, and combine an area of specialization with practical, teaching experience.

Albright’s bachelor’s degree-seeking education students combine their major in general education with one of more than two dozen concentration tracks. Degree options include early childhood education (PreK-4), secondary education (7-12), and K-12 certifications in special education, art and foreign languages. A 4+1 dual bachelor’s and master’s program is also available.

Albright graduate students can pursue post-baccalaureate teaching certificates or complete online master’s degrees in general education, preK-4 education, secondary education or special education. Albright’s advanced degrees are available with or without teacher certification and qualify for ACT 48 credit.

“Beyond having a deep understanding of the topics they will teach, Albright students also gain the skills to lead their classrooms with empathy, patience, and creativity,” said Schritter.
